THE UNEXPECTED GIFT

When we left to spend Christmas in Mississippi, we traveled between two weather fronts all the way. We passed through the first and as we looked behind us, this is a little of what we saw.
The clouds and sky were ominous but amazing all at the same time. These pictures were taken at the Mississippi River bridge rest stop in Vicksburg.

The one below was taken through the back car window. Pardon the raindrops and the blurry pic.
The lower dark bank of clouds really looked sinister. We kept watching for any funnel shapes.
We could see patches of blue sky below and between the two dark lines of clouds.

Again, at the River bridge. (I can't help but take pictures of this flag)

AND AFTER THE RAIN COMES THE SUNSET!

The sunset pictures were taken north of Jackson, MS.
I looked in the rearview mirror and the sky looked on fire!
It was one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen.
God provided a special gift of the sky filled with power and beauty as we traveled.
Though the weather was messy, it was nothing severe and we were able to enjoy!
